Man, this is fun! I printed a few targets off of the internet and have a bunch of soda can, but what else does everyone shoot up for fun?
I have seen tvs paint cans like spray paint. Water heaters, deck steps. Car doors. Metal plates. I have seen it all. Me I shoot paper or something g that moves shotgun shells tennis balls bowling pin golf ball...be creative.
If your shooting with your pellet gun be care full of ricochets!!! Golf balls are fun to toss up and shoot with a shotgun. They fly off like u hit it with a driver!!
Well I guess for the first time ever I'm buying some golf balls........ This just sounds like to much fun and I have to see it.
I'm "sticking to my guns," I said no bigger guns til I move to the country. Then I will have hundred of cords of wood hoarded and we will have get togethers inside my wooden fortress!
If you were closer id give you some. Have half a bucket of range balls in my truck. I pic them up in the woods they was off the range onto property I manage. Thousands of them.No idea ewhy I pick um up I havent played golf in over 10 yrs. If shipping wasnt so crazy id ship u a box for shipping or if you want I'll toss im in a flat rate not sure what the used balls at walmart go for these days though? l
Fill some milk jugs up with water, throw them in the freezer overnight, then break out the heavy iron. It's amazing to watch what a .44 magnum will do to a block of ice.
Have to try that. I'll wait till I load some 44s up with some hollow points stuffed to the max with H110!!
I usually stick with paper. I enjoy the indoor range and the police range more than plinking. I think it's the mess afterwards that sucks.
A tv and a box of spray paint thats full on the other hand.... I dont shoot that stuff but have seen it all at forest service ranges. One group literally brought a plastic tub full of new spray paint cans to shoot!! They were at least the cheap ones from walmart but still!! Hickok shoots a lot of generic "soda" in cans and 2 liter. He also shoots steel from plates to an animal plates to the gong.
He has TWO!!! Pay attention there two of them. One is right out his front door to the right. He stands in front of his house and shoots the gong...its like 150yds. Watched him hit it with a 45 long colt pistol free hand!!!
When I bought my house I rented a dumpster to throw the old carpet, roofing, etc in. The previous owners left an old tv that didn't work. I put that in the dumpster and shot the picture tube with the 22. Kinda cool. My usual plinking is the pellet gun and beer cans. Just gotta make sure you don't shoot too close to the UPC code otherwise you don't get your dime back when you return the cans (Michigan bottle/can deposit is 10 cents a can).
I shoot some paper and mostly AR 500 steel plates. There is some cool targets on line. I have some battleship targets like the game.
