That's the way the glass works, the whiskey comes first, then the water is a chaser. We would normally use beer. But her Father was a Whiskey and water kind of guy. So by tradition, we do a shot in his honor. That's "his" shot..
Yeah. It brings back memories for her. Mostly good memories. It's hard to even understand why God does what he does.. Her Father was 43 (13 years this August) when he passed and her mother was 51 (4 years ago this August). We don't question it. Everything happens for a reason. But one must wonder why? Why so young? She is a strong woman, and I am proud to have her as my best friend, wife, and mother to my children.
Wow, I'm impressed. Too beautiful. That looks like a nice place to go to and turn the cell phone off, kick back and get some zee' s and catch up on some reading. I know you have your kids to keep entertained and need to keep watch over the pups. There must be a lot of sniffing they need to get done. Anyway enjoy, eat well, have some fun and come home refreshed. This is a time not to have OCD. Larry
Not a big fan of chasers anymore. I used to have to have one to stand any chance of getting straight liquor down, or mix it in whatever. Now I'm more of an "on the rocks" kinda guy.
A few pics of Seneca Point and the Old Fire tower. There is random circles in the rock up here. They are mainly on large flats. I was taking this pic when a local was walking by and asked me "Son, do you know what that is"? I replied "No". He said that is a "hole" that was made from the Indians that used those holes to grind there corn, flour, etc. Over time, the hole was made into what it is now.
And my little puppy Timber, is not little anymore. . He doubled in size last month. In 28 days he went from 26.5 lbs to just over 51 lbs!! That was about 2 weeks ago. He has to be getting close to 60 lbs (at 5 months ). He is gonna be a big boy This is the day we brought him home.. And here are a few shots of this week..
Alright. . I gotta get outside and cut grass.. I was gonna go an hour ago and kept posting pics. I still have pics from our hike down the path of Hemlocks (300 year Hemlock forest / and a story on how Cook Forest got its name), Putt- Putt, and also the Double Diamond Deer ranch. They may not come until tonight. Have to cut grass, pack for Pittsburgh and get all the Provisions needed to prepare for the Jason Aldean concert (Burn it down tour w/ Florida Georgia Line, Tyler Farr, and Miranda Lambert) Sat night
Her hair is a hot mess, but it's my favorite photo as well. The 1st time I posted it when we brought Timber home, I got like 30 "likes" on that photo..
Wow...Finally got to sit down and actually look and read it all. Great story and some Great pics.......Glad that its still in the family and your able to enjoy it...
That's her best friend. Ever since we brought Timber home. They are inseparable. She still has that same smile every time they play together. Any time she went in the cabin and left him outside, he cried and whined until she came back out. And his obedience towards her is amazing. He listens to her better than any of us. Thank you.. Yes. My BIL goes up and enjoys it more than we do. But it will never leave the family. My wife and BIL will never sell it.
