It is still rather cold outside for me. I use to not mind the cold that much but now it seems to go through to my bones. However, I did venture out to do some wood processing; mostly a rather large maple that came from my sister. There was some sweet gum and a small cherry in the mix but mostly the maple. I can handle the heat better; I don't mind working outside in the summer with the sweat dripping off of me but when it is cold I seem to really feel it. Maybe that is why I like the house a nice toasty 27C/82F. :D

I like the house warm too, that's why I go through around seven cords a year.
Nice looking splits and no snow on the ground. Have to like this.

There was a lot of ice this past storm but it cleared off once the temps got above freezing. Of course you are a tad bit further north than me.

I cut that wood so it is more even in length. I mark before cutting. I have to mark before cutting as that is the only way I can keep them even.

That's a nice looking pile of wood there.

I'm the opposite way, I much prefer to cut in the cold, I do very little wood in the heat.

That was a good size maple, some of the rounds are pretty large. The straight grain makes it easy to split. I need to finish it up but not sure I will have the time today. Hopefully the rains will hold off.

Same here. I don't like bugs or sweating my butt off. I've found it's difficult to process firewood when your in the water like I am a lot in the summer.
