Got about 3" of unexpected snow last night. Had to drive to a site this AM that normally takes 1:15...took just over 2:00 hours. Roads were a slushy mess. Hopefully the drive home is better.

At least you aren't one of those people who make sure its still a 1:15 drive, that is if they don't put themselves and/or someone else off the road...

Makkovik is a small, isolated community in Labrador, home to less than 400 and not accessible by road, only by sea or air. Now the whole community is being tested for covid after a presumptive positive case caused by travel to the St.John's area

It isn't. You could run into emergency traffic jam, flat tire, etc. Doesn't hurt to allow a little extra time. I always have.

It was powerful, and full of depression and despair.

It’s a nice day down here today, 90F and a northerly breeze. I drove in to town this afternoon to buy a 1/4” socket set.

Then I went and brought some chicken and chips (fries) and parked on the south side of the lake and ate dinner in the ute.

The cool breeze coming off the lake is beautiful this evening.

Funny, when I was at the store last night (I got every Thursday after going to the dump). I went down the soup aisle and noticed there was a big gap on the shelves right next to the canned soup. Yep, it was supposed to be stocked with those Maruchan ramen soups.
