from the ice storm last winter is down safe, it was perfect this afternoon for grabbing a tree. Tomorrow afternoon will be two more Cherry that are damaged, they're just up the trail from this Cherry, if I get both tomorrow afternoon I'll take Saturday off. I had plenty of cover from the sun when I was working so it was nice.
Fall weather in July, go figure. I love this weather, I was just reading the Farmers' Almanac, they're calling for a wet August. The tree I dropped tonight was just inside the line, this is the area that the ski doo trail comes through our property.

Lookin good as always. I have a fair amount of cherry to split but I'm leaving that till last. 80% through the beech, it felt like Sept. splitting this evening.
W.S., you better get the painting done, could be some bad weather headed in your direction. H.F., we're loaded with Cherry so we always have a chit load of damaged stuff. L.P., this weather can stay the rest of the summer/fall, it's nice. Oslo, it was still green but will be ready for next year if needed. HDR, a small amount is good, better than none. P.B., that would be nice. I'll drop two damaged Cherry this afternoon.....hopefully haul one if not both out. We have another two in the same general area so I'll grab the one closest to the trail then I'm off after what I think is a topped off Red Maple, after the Red Maple we have a small broken off Beech on the same hill. My fall work will be the bigger Sugar Maple that's down.
Man i want some beech...i got just about all the other top hardwood..o and some hedgeapple would be nice too..lol
