Yep, I'd say that's somewhere around a 345 Cat. I bet that's tough going on soft ground though.

Would probably just shove those rounds into the ground too! o_O
Probably cheaper to just buy a new log splitter than supply the fuel for Mr Cat...and God help ya if you pop one of the large hydraulic lines :makeitrain":faint:

That's awesome, but yeah, between the equipment cost and the fuel costs that's pricey!

    That music though. :fart:

Come on you call that music. I have heard my cat make better sounds than that when I stepped on his tail.

As far as the splitter. You tube fantasy. But pretty cool.

I’ve got access to a 345 cat excavator. If’n I could ever gather up a bunch of easy splitting rounds like that I think I would have to try and rig up something similar. With the amount of splits he made in that short video clip it would be worth a try

What's not to love...you've got a seat, heat, tunes (that fortunately can be changed) and "stick time" in heavy equipment!
As long as you have an assistant to set up more rounds for you... :D

Yes and thank you brenndatomu :handshake: for clarifying! here because of so many variations in excavators you just specify weights ending in 9 k pounds because you be surprised at number of people that can’t figure out tons:picard:

That looks like a 42" bucket. To run that with any kind of authority you need a 200HP, 60K lb, $90K (used) machine. Iff'n you got one laying around, why not?
