An extended weekend. Some friends and I continued a long standing tradition to go to the White Mountains in NH, and go camping. We used to be in tents, on a trail off the Kancamangas Highway. We now head to an unimproved cabin. No electric, no running water. No cell signal. To do your business, it's a short walk out back to the outhouse. 4 nights in the cabin. A touch or normalcy for us. It was a cloudy weekend, so some of the snow pictures are flat(white). Enjoy. Feb-2021 ***There's a slide show icon at the top of the page. There's videos at the very bottom of the pictures.
Looks like fun mike. How do you make reservations for the cabin? I imagin you need to book well in advance.
I got hungry watching your slideshow. Any bears want in on your deal? Nice of the park rangers to come and plow you out!
What no women....?!! Lol that place looks right up my alley for a great time with the guys... I’m with you on not particularly liking sweet booze.
No wildlife. Just a few noisy blue jays around. It was a very still, quiet few days. Hardly a breeze. We got 5inches of sleet, that got plowed.
As a kid when my dad went to the Knights of Columbus to have a beer while we waited for my mom to get out of work, I would sneak behind the bar and grab a handful. Love marchino cherries. A friend of mine makes it. Gonna try it next year.
It wasn't overly cold. Mid-20's during the day. Just a bit colder overnight. It did get to 13f the last morning we were there. There's been years with double-digits below zero.
