Sounds like you are a good shot anyway with a rock but have you thought of a slingshot? Would you be able to use them in your area? My grandfather used to hit grey squirrels that way.

I just joined earlier today. I'm a fire breathing libertarian from southern NH who got fed up with not only the price of heating with oil but the political and economic implications that go along with it. I bought a pellet boiler last fall and haven't looked back.

I'd like to share my experience with my boiler, and learn from others while discussing such important topics as self sufficiency and sticking it to the man.

Welcome aboard Dana we've got a good group of pellet heads here and a good mix of everyone else too. We like to keep it light and have fun and try to keep the politics out of the mix save that for PMs.

Welcome to the campfire. Love stories and sharing pics. Lots of where at and how to here. Poke around the different rooms and you'll get what goes on.

Welcome from the Wet West Coast of Canada. Have heated with wood almost all my life and the last 30 + with Gasification with storage. Now in our retirement years, we enjoy $52.00 a month electric bills!

Thanks. I try to keep the politics out of it as much as possible to. The reason I mentioned it was because I have been regularly posting on another popular wood heating site (which will remain nameless) and every once in awhile things would turn political.

In any event I just created a thread on my pellet boiler and I'll be posting pics of my setup and sharing my experience, which has been a positive one.

I just posted the pics. I didn't see a section for pellet boilers so I created the thread under OWBs and Gassification Boilers.

That's right where it belongs. ;). Boiler stuff goes in there and then info specifically pertaining to fuel, be that pellets, or cordwood, should be posted in either the Pellet section or the Firewood Neighborhood respectively.

    Welcome to FHC!

Don't forget about bark up or down. We just don't discuss any of the politics the so-called normal people talk about.
