Afternoon all. Made a quick trip down island to finally get our chimney problems solved. March 17 is the earliest for install. Then the plumbing starts.

Snow has pretty well gone. The rain took care of it. Rain for the next week at least.

Good morning everyone! It'll be cold, sunny, and windy today. Yesterday I scraped some ice, today I'll carry in wood. Otherwise, online stuff. Very much in get it over with mode, regarding this winter. 40's next week though.
Liking sugar maple a lot! It leaves tons of coals in the morning. During the day, I have to burn them down with alternate stoveloads of some different kind of wood.
Only 3-4" of snow expected Friday.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY. Got a couple more nights to work, then off 1 day, work this weekend, I won't mind 32 hrs OT...
We need to finish and deliver the load of boiler wood, we got almost 2 rows on the truck before the rain shut us down. Had a thunderboomer about 6:00PM, glad it slacked off before I had to leave for work.

We got the load of boiler wood finished and delivered, he said he would take another load in 2 wks, we are using that big odd size oak we had gotten. Here is 1 piece I was noodling yesterday.
We have a load of stove wood to cut and deliver this morning. Nice and chilly with breeze, nothing like Texas and mid west though.

Good morning all! Well yesterday I drove thru a snow storm for work and today I'm off... Hmmm
O well thankful for it regardless. Gonna fire up the snow blower first then get some hickory and ironwood

Clear and nearly freezing. Surprise! we are supposed to get sunshine today. We are headed over to Mom's to move firewood today. Tomorrow we are taking her to the dentist down island. Busy week again this week.

Good morning all. 1* to start the day. Got up to 20* so far. Don't think we will much warmer even with the sun out.
Fish was good Brandon Scott. 2 down and 2 to go.
T.Jeff Veal with noodling that big oak, won't the moisture content be pretty high? Or doesn't it matter to much with the own.
Chaz got plowing done and about the same time the small flakes became big flakes. But it must of quit pretty soon after as it doesn't look like we got much.
We haven't gotten slammed like so many but we have been getting some almost every day. For the next 2 weeks we have snow showers forecasted for almost every single day. It can go away.

Yes ma'am. It was wet, but he said it didn't matter with his OWB. He had cut some maple and gum the end of Jan, got a load from us Jan 30th and then Feb 16th. He is burning about 1/3+ cord every 2 weeks.

Morning all. No fishing today. Finally closed on my dad’s winter place 1 town over. Need to spend the day lining up electric, cable, mowing, HOA fees, etc...

coffee is especially nice today. 70 here this morning. Expecting some cooler mornings this weekend. Have a great day all.

 

Good morning, folks.

All fingers and toes still attached. It was a relatively warm time away. Daytime highs mid-upper 20's. Overnight lows in upper teens. Inside temps 65-70, during day. 60, by morning.

It was mostly overcast but dry most every day. Starting Monday evening, we got 5in of sleet. Weirdest stuff, at that amount.

I'll offload pictures and get them posted in a day or so.

Woke up about 3:45. Couldn't get back to sleep. I was thinking about stuff I need to do today, ahead of snow later this morning. First on the list is to reload the deck wood rack. Then, deal with camping gear. I'm thinking a nap may be in order, at some point.
