Fort Drum is way north of us. Think Buffalo and go south to PA boarder.

Countries down by Panama have 12 and 12 all year long. Daylight from 6am to 6pm. Take a while to get used to.

I was driving down a very old dirt road today that cuts through state land and noticed massive amounts of trees marked for cutting. Eventually I came upon a sign from the forestry department explaining it was part of their management program, that they were removing a lot of the larger oaks, dead ash, and some birch trees to allow for more diversity in the woods. Sounds good to me... So is any of this wood available to the taxpaying public?!?! I NEED to know so I contacted them via email just now. We'll see what they say... It used to be years ago that you could obtain a cutting permit on state land, wherever they were doing forest management. Pay the fee, go to the location and cut any trees marked for removal. Not anymore. Budget cuts, blah blah blah. I'd be happy to get any of the limb wood from the hundreds of trees I saw marked.

Panama takes on a whole new life when the sun sets. The open air restaurants are fantastic. I went there twice while in the Army, I think Fort Clayton. Could see one of the locks from there. Worked at the hospital in town. Can't imagine what is it like now that we are out of there. US spent a lot of money there and provided thousands of jobs.

Thanks CBVT, but not really necessary.
    :handshake:

Choices were made, I knew I'd be starting low this year. That's why we have plenty of fuel oil to finish out the winter.

I've got to "get my head in the game" and determine if I'm committed to this.

I do appreciate the thought very much, but any donations should go to someone that can't fill their stacks, not to someone who chose not to fill the stacks.

    Poor choices have consequences.

Got done snowblowing the driveway a little bit ago. Jack Assparagus neighbor attempted to stare me down as he drove off in his little girly RAV4. I stared at him back the entire time.

What a frickin tool. Hopefully he pizzes off someone in town and gets arrested.

Let him throw the first punch, make sure he hits you then beat him senseless and call the police

Oh yeah, I'm aware of the rules. :handshake:
As stupid as he is, I doubt he'll escalate this any past his posturing, with my family at least.

Be careful. This day and age, people get their income from lawsuits and or handouts, instead of gainful employment.

Of course. Like I said, he's on a short leash, and likely won't try anything. This guy is a handout. House, car, lawn mower all handouts from Mommy. He's get no sympathy from anyone in this community, including the cops.

Cold here, dark and lightly snowing all day, too cold to dump here. I'm invading kiddo's Barbie house Mecca in the den tomorrow while she's at my mothers. I'm cleaning it up.
