Ice doesn’t show up well in the picture, but it’s a pretty cool canopy pic. 32 and I’m praying the rain stops or temps rise, so they don’t start breaking.

Man... I dont know how you all do it with those negative numbers....If these numbers where more the norm around here... I'd be investing in either a wood furnace downstairs or another wood stove...Plenty of wood on hand... but only so much I can throw in the beast... The weekend I'll be able to keep up... but the gas stove will back up during the weekdays.... I tip my hat to you all...:tip:

    My phone is telling me
-15*F this morning, standing dead elm keeping the house warm. I think this might be the coldest I’ve seen since I’ve started heating with wood. And thanks to all you fine folks I gots plenty of wood on hand, but I will have to get some hauled into the house today. Looks like the overnight tonight could get to the -20*s.

Now I gotta go move snow if something will start and run

That was at 9pm, when I got to work at midnight, I saw a low of -31* and it was -28* at the job. I don't want to win, please feel free to send warm weather and keep all the cold you want.

How many hours of sunlight do you have a day now? That sun is starting to get a little kick in it.

-36 this morning. Looks like a couple more days of this then it should start to moderate. Another week and thenforcast is calling for 30's for highs, that's going to feel like tee shirt weather after this.

-12 this morning, heading to a high of -1 today! The temps are going to slowly rise next week but this weekend it's good to be the coldest part yet before it starts to climb

Mornin'. It was 8 when I woke up. Have a nice fire going and will soon be restocking my ready pile this morning, having picked up a truckload of ash and sugar maple last night. Currently burning red oak. Supposed to be in the teens today with snow tonight. No sub zero temps here like some of my brethren and sistern have reported!
