True, but plow vehicles usually have a salt spreader in the back which makes them last about five years. Ford pickups and vans really rust out around here. The new stuff they spray on the road before it snows is very corrosive. I spray Salt Away on the underside of our vehicles once it gets a bit warmer.

If they only realized what smoke show did years ago. No salt needed. Instead of Flintstone feet holes in the floor bed, just a good clean hole through the front two seats and down through the floor. Hours before the storm driver and buddy chow down on large amounts salad and spicy bean chili, and then chase it with milk. Let the melting begin!

Interesting - I didn't even know that the under 40 people were being vaccinated anywhere. Most places are starting with the more vulnerable populations first, although healthcare workers have also been at the top, so maybe those are the people in that age range.

we had a power outage at work for the first 2 hours yesterday, that was fun trying to work in the dark. Sounds like a pole was on fire in the road.

Covid wise.....100 new confirmed cases yesterday and one presumptive. They've expanded school closures across the 3500 square mile peninsula where half the population of NL lives (the other half being spread over our other 153,000 square miles), and travel in and out of the capital city metro area for non essential purposes is "discouraged"

 

Is this the first time the virus has been in your area, a variant or hot spot?

We had travel restrictions earlier last year to some states.

Yes mostlyhealth care and essential workers (police hospital power etc) 70+% of wife work dental office mostly under 40. Obviously patients can’t be masked and 6 foot distance is a challenge
