Thanks. Head hurts, lower back hurts, ankles hurt to walk on. Hips sore. Still cold. But at least the cold chills that caused shaking stopped in morning. Now to try again to get some sleep.

Take care Gasifier. I'm hearing that the second shot doesn't play nice for some folks.

Tried getting some shop time in this AM but it was just too cold out there. The rest of my week is booked so my cabinet/coat rack project will have to wait for the weekend...but my weekend is pretty busy already....hoping to pick up my new toy and mill the walnut logs that have been sitting in my back yard for ~3 years. Looking at the weather I may have to wait another week.

I’ll bet the sea breeze does a lot to keep your temperatures up during the winter, then the inverse during the summer months.

I had on the balaclava, a stocking cap, and the hood to my Carhart jacket up. No ski googles though.

My chute is strictly manual height adjustment, so I have to stop whenever I want to change it (which kind of means even if I had room for / a desire for a cab, that would be a bigger PIA than useful). Makes it more challenging - who doesn't like a challenge? :)

Finally was able to get some sleep. I’ll try for more today. But for now I’m up because I couldn’t get back to sleep. Feeling somewhat better. I think and hope that by tomorrow I’ll be back to normal.

    Hope you get some improvement!
I've read that the bad effects will only last two days, because that's how long the shot ingredients stay active before they degrade. I get my first shot tomorrow.

I’ve heard reactions are less with Phizer and harder with moderna

Thank you. I just got a little more sleep. Feeling better than I did. Hopefully be back to 100% soon.

That is what we are hearing as well. I know several who have had the Phizer and have had very mild reactions. The Moderna crew doesn’t do as well. But everyone is different.

Waiting for a warmup. This cold has worn out its welcome.

Mom was lucky. She didn't have any reaction to the first Moderna shot and she is scheduled for her second one next Tuesday. I pray that she doesn't have an reaction to it either.

Yes it does. It is more noticeable at Mom's where her island is surrounded by water. The water temperature doesn't change much here and it is fairly cold. You don't want to go swimming in it even in the summer time.

    Right there with you Dennis.

It's pretty and all with all this snow, but there's a ton of it and some places are so deep in the yard. Then the cold, I can't have the pups out much more than a few minutes when it's that negative whatever temps before they start picking up their feet.

My path to the neighbor's to let his dog out works great. I walked it a few times with the snowshoes, and it's nicely packed down. Step off the path though and you drop right into 2+ feet of snow.

Decided to suck it up and got up and went out to the cold shop this morning. Got the coat rack/cabinet carcass and face frame put together....just need to rout/sand everthing and make some doors. My walnut supply is dangerously low...not sure if I'll have enough to make a small desk.

I hope the two of you are able to bear the brunt of all that inclement weather! Do you need any milk, bread or eggs? :smoke:
