Would this be the correct setup for cleaning our Simpson Dura double - wall for our wood stove? Gardus RCH205-B SootEater Rotary Chimney Cleaning System, Cleans Open Chimneys up to 18' with 6 Flexible 3' Rods, Includes Trim-to-Fit Spinning Chimney Whip
I used .105" (IIRC) line and it was some of that "special" star shaped line...not that standard line wouldn't work, this is just what I had around, and I figured that it might clean even better? Works fine either way...
Yep, thats where I looked at it! "There is one sitting down at my closest menards but they want shipping costs added to have it sent here ......."
Thanks for all the replies, I'll order this tonight. Do you have to trim the line and if so is the line marked where you cut it or do you just measure it yourself?
I literally just used that (4") on my pellet stove in the last hour. I had to buy an extra set of rods, mine came with less rods.
We would need one extra rod on the one I was looking at, we have pretty close to 21 feet of pipe on the outside. I think with the one extra rod, that would give us 26 feet.
I leave the line the length that it comes...it'll wear down...no harm no foul. The pro sweeps do this too...that way they can use it on whatever size flue...
