Going to try to finish up the bed this evening then start in on the headboard. Cold weather moving in so need to try to keep shop time to a minimum....I have a hard time keeping it warm when it gets below 20...and it's going to get well below 20 this week.

That really sucks. A bad neighbor is sort of like a boil. Aggravating. But you did the right thing.

Surprised when a neighbor showed up yesterday. First time for several months. Said sorry to hear about my wife. A little late.

You did 100% the right thing. Sucks to have a neighbor like that.

Spent most of the day inside today. And glad I did. It was warm out but windy! Took care of chores like laundry, firewood, and paid the bills first thing. Then went out with the L39 this afternoon and widened the roads out back to the camp and around the pasture. That little 39 horse TLB will really push the snow with those ice chains on the rear tires and all that weight of the backhoe on them!

This was the other day cleaning up the eight or so inches we received, and then when you add what falls off the roof it piles up quick behind the barn.

Sometimes March can be the worst month but I guess time will tell. Supposed to be more snow coming Monday, but it is nice to have most of the buildup melted away in town, and essentially all of it gone in many of the small coastal communities. Definitely been quite a mild spell last few days.

Supposed to rain tomorrow, I have a couple inside projects lined up. I have to rip a large number of planks with my jigsaw, and cut a bunch of funny shaped braces for my eave extension project.

Just make sure you're carrying, and completely ignore said Jack Assparagus. You never know what crazy is capable of when you pizz them off. Saw a REALLY fricked up video yesterday from PA about a couple (who seemed to be pretty unhinged themselves) taunt a neighbor into finally killing them in the middle of the street.

Thank you all for your concerns. I really appreciate it:)

No issues today. Then again it's Friday and our good neighbor was home at normal time.:)

I'll be cutting a path through our yard, to our good neighbor's place over the weekend. That's how we typically go there, but all the snow had us not doing that and walking out our driveway into his driveway. :headbang:

It's a direct path to his place, and usually the easiest, but you know 16-24" of snow will change how you typically do things. Maybe I'll break out the snowshoes?

As far as the 35 yr old neighbor with issues, well, I think he's just unstable and unhinged. I think he's a 'roid rager which would mess with his head, and offer a great explanation. He's one of those little guys with a Napoleon complex. Last week he had a couple of cars drive up with one pulling up into his driveway and the other parked on the street, both drove really fast on our 25 mph road that pretty much takes flooring it to get to 25-30 mph. These were cars that we've never seen before and one of the guys ran to the front door and banged on his door loudly, and then there was telling back and forth with 'roid boy and the stranger. Something about a windshield. No idea what that was about, but it was weird, even though everything with this guy is weird.

Must be nice to get the house from departed mommy and also get her old RAV4 for free.

Yes, that's my MO. Definitely sucking it up with the cold weather and making the path between my house and my neighbor's where we are taking care of our good neighbor's dog.

He'll go crazy sometime, and you'll hear about it on the news somewhere. We'll have nothing to do with him. Like we typically do.

Edit. This just came to me, and I'm literally floored. After listening to his expletive laced hate filled rant yesterday, and retracing major events that made national news last March, I know 100% he was the one who wrote this. The family that received this letter lives on the other side of his house, very close in proximity to his home. Community rallies to support Cedarburg family who says they received racist letter

This of course made national news, and then the "bug" hit and people talked about that then, and ever since.

I had a suspicion that he wrote this before I had my encounter with him, but as I said, we never crossed paths before despite him moving in with his mom about 2 years ago when she started having health issues from ALS.

I've got other evidence to back my determination. All of this makes sense now. Also probably why the cop I talked to was so eager to shut this down ASAP. He's probably persona non grata of ozaukee cty.

We listened to the sea wolf audio book on a road trip. It was really good. Had different voices for the Characters. It was quite long like 14 hours! I’m not much of a reader but really enjoy audio books on trips.
