Bound to happen at some point

Original to the saw, about 15+ years and 175ish cords later. I guess I can’t complain! I knew it was coming, cause it had been getting loosy goody in the drum Saw owes me nothing. Gotta stop at the shop in the morning for replacement.

 

Well, hopefully they will have it in stock. I have to order about everything here, locally. Nobody keeps much inventory. Hopefully, you have better saw shops in your neck of the woods.

 

Yeah, it's paid for itself. Can't really complain to loud when you get that kind of service life out of a wear item.

 

You got your mileage from that one , I like how it's worn almost half the letters off on the word " Off"

Been a great saw! Nice at tight now thinking I may go with rim sprocket next time I need to change it. Any benefits to that?

 

Yes, you can simply replace the sprocket when it’s wore out instead of the whole clutch drum.

 

My MS290 (no longer owned) had the clutch bearing seize and was an easy fix two years ago. The saw owed me nothing either and found its common to happen on a saw with that much usage. Cut a lot of wood with that 290
