24° Snowing and wind is about 12mph. They’ve lowered the snow total estimate to 15-19” with some ice on top. 40mph gusts later today. It’ll probably change again.

Yeah, where you are, it's headed in your direction. It blew hard all night and my little weather meter/wind speed indicator said it hit 54mph last night. It's blowing between 30 and 40 now here with buckets of rain.

I'll expect a call today from a tree service friend of mine to ask me if I want any "silver maple". Everytime we get a Nor-Easter, on average he'll get 3 or 4 blow downs. Loose/soft and sandy soil here, never fails!

Thanks for the warning and update, Dave. Wish we would get rain instead of snow. About 2” down at the moment.

I've been over to West Point a few times and have good friends in Cold Spring/Garrison. You all are usually about 4 to 6 hours behind us if it's coming up the Coast. Yeah, it's really $#!TTY here now...

That’s about the timing with a coastal storm. I’m on the east side of Cold Spring and we use Rockland County as the half hour mark for warnings in thunderstorms in the summer.

8* this morning loaded the OWB with Sugar Maple and Shag Bark last night. Suppose to get snow today thru tomorrow first forecast was 9" - 12" now they're saying we will be in the upslope shadow and will only get 4" - 6". We will get whatever we get and deal with it. After all it is winter.

Overnight low of 17 (only) and now sitting at 22. Didn't get any snow overnight here, just the inch or so I woke up to yesterday morning.

    Heavy overcast though.

After Backwoods Savage mentioned it I had to look and found out we are forecasted for below temps right across the board (highs and lows) this coming weekend.

Thats what the wood is for........ :handshake: :D

And, it's coming... Not sure how the wind is but some folks and our local CG Base had 60mph+ wind. I had 54mph here on the bay side.

Winds are picking up here, most snowfall occurred yesterday I'd say we've got about 4-5 inches on the ground. Freezing rain mix currently and don't look like we'll get anymore snow. 28* outside 74* inside....Mix of maple and cherry.....

30 this morning and overcast sky's. Forecast is for colder temps later this week with some overnight lows below zero. Haven't had many of them this year. If it doesn't get down into the 20 to 30 below zero temps I am happy.
