Last time I had a case of beer in the house, it sat around long enough to go skunky. Poured it down the drain and recycled the bottles. No more cases for me.

When I was in High School (late 70's), Rhinelander was $4.00 per case and a $1.00 back when you returned the bottles. I loved that stuff. We used to lift the speaker out of the hole near the back window of my Chevelle and toss the empties into the trunk. Every once in a while you could hear the empties rolling around in the trunk when taking corners. Good times.

I remember Genesee Light for $7 a case and 50 cents a bottle in the bars 35-40 years ago. I now spend $10-12 for a 6 pack of premium beer. Of course, the 6 pack lasts me longer than a case used to!
