18 out 72 in. I'm sure enjoying this no overtime for me after they saw what I put in for 2020. Home by 3:15. I sure hope it stays this way. My boss is now working a minimum of 12 hours a day and I get at least 4 phone calls per day after I leave on what to do  . Mind you I walk into a complete Sh%tstorm every morning.

Icy snow causing bad drivers to torment everyone else. Nice blanket down, with a mix of ash and hickory laid atop the poplar from this morning. Now let it snow like mad!
I am settled in and anxious to see sunup and nothing but white.

Was -16 last night, got to a high of 16 today. They are calling for -2 tonight but they were only calling for 0 last night so I'm thinking more -20 haha.

One thing I like about minus temps, the smoke hangs heavy and low on the clear crisp sky after loading the OWB

Accu is calling for a low of 6 so I have the pellet stove on. I shut the fan off on the wood stove for the night.

23F here now & pretty clear. Dropping to 10 they say, they're talking about "cold" days with highs in the mid 20's. That's perfect winter weather! White Oak in the boiler & I'm thinking it's time to bust out the skidder & haul some logs.

Currently 15, had 10" snow Monday/Monday night. Took tractor out Monday afternoon for neighbors and again Tuesday morning. 75% done when I could smell something. Turned out idler pully on the blower went out. Got lucky and was able to find one at TSC and put that on last night. Went out tonight to test and went great for about 30 seconds. Stupid me forgot to check the belt on the back pulleys and it came off. Oh-well, will look at it again tomorrow evening and try to get it back on. Talking freezing rain an Saturday so not sure I will get anything done outside this weekend.

4°here. Burning ash, sugar Maple, and Honey locust. Coldest night if the season so far. 71° in the stove room, furnace is quiet. Love it.

The weather casters are saying that were supposed to have another storm like we just did. Ok. I'm set.

-9F.....And likely to drop another couple deg. Toasty indoors. Another crystal clear night with a super bright moon reflecting on the snow. Heading for 20 degrees on the correct side of zero today. Nice. Just tossed a Pine split in the stove. Air wide open. Coals be gone. Nice flame show with some great morning heat.

Got up to 23 yesterday; a real nice day outside. Last night was suppose to be single digit temps again but only got down to 11.

Currently 25, 70 in. Assorted flavor of chunkies cooking. Suppose to be getting colder and windy next couple days, with possible snow sunday.
Took this pic last night coming down from doing some splitting with the dog and moon. Not as breath taking as many of the pics on here, but it has its own little charm. Just wish had better camera. 20210127_175348.jpg

Pretty nice today. Supposed to be a high of about 27, then temps around 0 F the night couple of nights.

I don't know that I can ever complain about the temps again reading Rope's posts.

Coldest night of the year last night. Got about an inch of snow yesterday that we weren't supposed to get. Snow cover + clear sky = cold night. 9* when I woke up. Boiler still working on yesterday's load of black locust and hedge....even in this weather it isn't working hard.
