That a shame to have happened. When you think about what you pay to have your furnace serviced, it should be done right. So important to find a person/ company you can trust to do the work you are not able to do yourself.

Haven't made a single flake of sawdust in a couple weeks and I'm starting to get the itch back. I need to figure out what I'm going to do with my shop situation (rehab old shop or build new super shop) and get my boiler hooked up to it so I have better heat to work in.

Lumber prices are holding me back. I wonder how a steel building compares now?

This the it's the right part of it's the part out in the truck syndrome. I've seen this happen over and over on numerous technologies.

That would be great and I only have a 10 ft walls in my shop and taller would be better. Im thinking with 16 foot you could have a storage loft if you wanted to. Not sure if a steel building would cost less.

1/2 of it would have full height ceilings, 1/2 would have a short loft / room-in trusses for storage. I'm still a ways off from doing anything....just designing it in my head as I think of things I don't like about my current shop.

I already have a 32x32 that I'll keep for "cold storage". 30x60 is bigger than I need.

Mine is 36x40 posted 16 ft. 1 bay 20x40 other bay 16x40 wall down center to separate. Smaller bay has a loft for storage and it is full. Bathroom up there. Air compressor up there. Radiant heat. I would probably build it differently if I had to do it again.
