Not much snow in our forecast either. The sun did come out today which felt nice when I was pushing back some snowbanks.
Just finished loading the OWB, Maple, Red Oak, Rock Oak, White Birch. Not suppose to be as cold tonight Maybe some snow tomorrow afternoon.
It's about to snow here tonight. Thor and Screwloose , looks like you guys will get more than we will, but you never know. I'm not going anywhere tomorrow any way. Snowblower is all gassed up. They say we could get 4-6" here through tomorrow at some point in the day. South of Milwaukee all the way to Chicago by lake Michigan could get really dumped on, but if the wind blows just right, we could get lake effect blasted too. Ash, honey locust and sugar Maple tonight. 29° now.
In the high 20’s with the first hint of snow for us, just a dusting.... just packed her up with 3yr white oak for overnight.
The previous two nights I used the furnace, tonight the Liberty has a load of Sugar Maple, Red Maple and some Ironwood. At the moment we're at 22 degrees with a forecast low of 8.
28F here with a very damp & unpleasant East wind. Supposed to get 3-4" of snow by tomorrow aftn. White Oak in the boiler.
Not nearly cold enough to give the Jotul a good run for the money. Toasting mostly 1.5 year old oak, that (I should test w/mm) but gets the stove to 5-600*F fairly easily. Been running this thing 24/7, cleaning the ash tray x2/day, cooking soup, coffee, and tonight a big potta bone broth. Sca
17 this morning. Burning down a deep bed of coals and one split left from a mix of hardwood put in last night at 10:15.
30* dusting of snow last night, now feeezing rain. Only 70* inside have ash and BL cooking. Brought a cart load of shorts and uglies down last night. Ash, BL, oak, coffeetree and whatever else. As I passed by my recent stack of BL that needs split, I couldn't resist grabbing some of the 4"-7" diameter logs of standing dead BL sitting there.
Overnight low of 2 then warmed up to 11 now. Just a dusting of very light snow; the kind you could use a leaf blower on!
71 in the stove room overnight. I didn't hear the furnace run one time. 24° out now and still snowing. I cleared the patio with the shovel.. It's really hard to judge snow amount from the patio, especially when it is windy as the snow drifts there. That's a bit and it's not done. Sugar Maple and ash in the quad.
