Agreed!!! I ended up buying Jen a GMC Acadia, no truck for her. I do need a truck for the business though, so it will definitely be replaced soon.
Can't like that. Bet that made your day. How long with the snowblower did it take to get that pile cleaned up?
Merry Christmas, Car Hoarders! Got a couple loads today from my mom's house. A load of what I think is cherry, in less than optimal condition. The outside is a bit punky but the inside is still solid. Went back for this, which I think is maybe Poplar.
That was the majority of it, Brad. There maybe some more pieces tied up in the brush pile. I'll dig around when I get another chance.
When i was looking at the pictures i thought if i didnt know any better id think thats Midwinters SUV. Have you heard from Urban Woods lately?
Splits easy. Mom said it was a poplar so I took her word for it. I need to work on my identification skills. Yes! The RAV4 is becoming the official car of the FHC car hoarders. Hey Toyota, where's our sponsorship money?
2 pallets. One was a block style with 9 nice big blocks, other was the style with 3 2x4s, but the center one was doubled and hardwood (outer 2x4s were softwood, definitely felt the difference cutting) and all the top planks were inch thick hardwood.
I took the booby prize today. My friend alerted me to some wood by the side of the road. I checked it out, thought it was ash. The property owner said I could have it, he was intending to offer it up for free anyway. Oh boy! Loaded up my saws, began cutting, and something seemed a little off... The punch line is, I came home with a carload of elm! I'm kinda tempted to leave it in the car, and take it to the dump Monday morning. There's no way I'll be able to handsplit it. I'll try a round just for yucks, but I know already it will be hopeless. Well, I had fun cutting it anyway. I left the the big log on the ground in the back.
