Have a friend who has a nursery that lives 5 minutes from me which is halfway to my moms house where I do all of my firewooding. He calls me up and says he took down some maples do I want the wood? Sure I say. Today I head over there with my saws and dump truck as he did there’s a good amount and a few he didn’t cut. I ran the saw for about 20 minutes then he started helping me load, which included his tractor and bucket for the few decent sized ones (but nothing over 18” diameter). In a little under an hour and a half we have it all loaded up. Yep, a nice little afternoon scrounge.

Nice scrounge and a better friend. I like the dump truck. Guess I'll add that to my list. You know, the list we all have to help us hoard firewood so we can burn to save money.

It’s already dumped. Needed to come back home and I don’t like leaving it loaded for extended periods
