:hair::headbang:Im looking into a splitter with a much faster cycle time. I dont know what to do. Iv used a super split and its really fast, currently i have an Ariens 27 ton. Super splits are so much cheaper than these others.

I won't but a splitter without a log lift. The Easton Mades look great but who wants to wait 9+ months for one? I would like to see videos and hear testimonials of guys running a 12 way wedge.

The Wolfe Ridge and Eastonmade are pretty comparable IMO. As you noted they are both double to triple the price of a Super Split. I can’t speak to either one as far as personal experience, but the Super Split has been fantastic for me. In fact I have a video soon to be edited going over the SS.

I know I saw it, but I can’t find it right now. Which splitter did you most recently buy? Rugged?

By myself I can manage a cord an hour. With 2-3 guys you could do 1.5 cords an hour

All nice machines listed on here. It would all depend on what kind of wood you see yourself splitting, smaller straight rounds go with the supersplit. Bigger, uglier rounds a Hydraulic with a log lift would be my choice.

I couldn't shoot the actual body of the unit because the vinyl decal didn't stick well to the plastic shroud and it looked like crap. But this thing is fun to use.

I can't see his face, but I believe the guy running the SS is Paul the owner.

I’d pick a Super Split. I don’t think I would like the multiple way wedges. I noodle a lot of huge stuff and I want more control of split size.

No, that's me. That's why you don't see my face...just thought I'd make a little video piece as I like this splitter so much.

I haven’t looked at different manufactures much but if I had an open bank account I would want a push through machine with an adjustable 4 way wedge and a log lift.

    Woodwhore,

Did you end up getting a splitter?
