I thought it pretty interesting, Thursday nights forecast. I wonder if this forecaster does Powerball numbers too?
Same here. Watch the bands of precipitation, take note of their direction and that’s about it. The only part of the forecast I take on faith are the high and low temperatures which usually they’re close enough.
Neither. I just don't understand why people complain they are wrong all of the time and then continue to tune in...If you feel they are never right, stop watching.
Yeah I don’t complain much about forecasts or forecasters being wrong. I’m no weatherman nor would I want that thankless job. I only follow sporadically if I’m planning something outdoors. Come planting season I watch it the most.
Forecasted for 30 today. Truth be told, 10 with a stiff wind out there. Don't want to be out in it! But yeah, I'll watch the forecast once again tomorrow!
Keyword in your statement is “guess” that’s why they should be referred to as “weather guessers” not “weather forecasters”. Best answer material in your statement just add in a thermometer.
I rarely purposely watch the weather but it's hard not to (especially in the winter) see/hear something about the next big storm that doesn't pan out to what they say. Cracks me up, a year or two ago a local station predicted a snowstorm correctly. For the next couple weeks they couldn't stop "congratulating" themselves about the storm they warned everyone about..
I watch the weather forecasts, both local and national. If they're calling for a big snowstorm or wind event, we make sure we have enough supplies on hand before the forecast date, if it doesn't hit our area, it's not a big deal. I did see last night that AccuWeather has their own channel, 198 in our area. I think it just started in 2021 for our area.
Yeah, "inaccurate weather" has been broadcast on cable for us also. Only thing is, they are focused on the L.P.!!!!! They even got the location wrong!
