I was talking to my buddy about the amount of stink bugs in my clean out after I cleaned the chimney. He thought i was pulling his leg when i told him i had more stink bugs in the clean out than ash. I cant really remember but i think i cleaned the chimney sometime last spring. I told him Iv only burned a 1/2 to 3/4 cord so far so i really shouldnt have had any ash. He told me when he did his he gets like a big bucket full of crap. I told him obviously that’s because your not burning a good product. Needless to say i got him thinking about getting way ahead on wood instead of buying it in September and getting a crappy product. Or buy from me and I guarantee better results. Oh yea should have seen his face when i told him i burn alot of pine  :rofl:

I had a crazy amount of stink bugs around the house this fall as well. They liked the gable vents.

Everybody freaks out when you tell them you burn pine. I got some free pine that was already bucked a couple years ago that was a year old. We split it and it sat another year and it burned great. Hot, fast and clean.

The thing people don’t realize is that those in the PNW burn tons of pine and never worry about creosote as long as it’s seasoned. Heck, even lots of pellet stoves burn conifer pellets. I’ll take pine for shoulder season anytime.

Spruce here, it’s 95% of what’s around these parts, season and burn it like it 1999.

They are afraid of the sap when they should be afraid of moisture, sap just makes a hotter more efficient fire

Im on a plan with JP pest, they spray the whole house theirs bait stations and all. I mostly do it for the hornets that like to live in the eves. Kids are always out by the pool and stuff. Funniest thing was when i was redoing the beams and posts in the living-room i found a 2 foot snake skin shed up on top of a beam, my wife and daughter did not sleep well for a while and of course Kamo and i still put fake bugs and snakes around.
