Not to forget- wood burning appliances, pets, what’s on the grill, other hobby tools, vehicle(s) used in acquiring wood scores (loaded with said scores), after work beverages... ya know, whatever the camera lands on...
System Welcome to the club, lots of great folks here sharing knowledge and humor. I see you've met a few already. Don't let buZZsaw BRAD know if you have any black locust around......he is a wood machine...And a good friend... Another bar combo you might consider would be 25 and 32... I'm 6' and the 25" on my XS362 keeps me from bending over so much. That MS500i will pull a 32" nicely too.
Will keep all that in mind boys. Oh, and when you say no thong pics, I'm guessing that is a blanket statement covering me in a speedo as well? Consider the wind officially out of my sails.
Alright, that's it! Just when I think those two things are gonna die you two gotta resurrect them. You're both fired! Merry Christmas & I hope ya'll get your 500i saws!
Speaking of pictures... it's kind of off topic in the power equipment area but here's a Merry Christmas Eve pic for you guys... When we built we decided not to stop at the wood furnace in the basement. We wanted a wood burning traditional fireplace in the LR as well. There is nothing like a crackling fire to feel like you're back in time a bit...
Well there is that. Im just used to running 24” on everything from 50cc up. Makes it really easy with chains.
Joking aside, you do make a valid point John. If I stay on a two saw plan, 14" then 24" seems to be a nice spread between them.
I like it for the reach, havent felled a tree yet Ive needed more than a 24”. Regardless, I do believe you will enjoy the 500. Ive put a bunch of tanks through the one I have here. Its a nice saw.
Good morning folks... Today is the day my dealer let me know that they were finally able to grab a few 500i saws from their distributor which are landing tomorrow. One has my name on it... Perfect timing since my buddy stopped over yesterday to pick up my 562XP...
One thing that cracks me up is the current eBay pricing on these things. They are selling for 1600-1700 bucks right now which is hundreds over MSRP. The guys buying at this rate will be ticked when dealers finally get plenty of these in stock in the near future. I also recently read where Husqvarna has patented an injected saw recently so market forces will be driving the price down further soon...
