A lot of the newer ones are bigger, and Tim the Tool Man Cool, but for real having the openings of both the washer and dryer at the same height is really nice. I tried a new topload washer a couple years ago and regardless of how small I made the load, it put little tiny tears in all my favorite tshirts (my daily uniform is those tshirts) and the tiny tears turned into but rips. I vote for Mrs to get front loader with prewash and built in heater for self clean.

I have the same issue with the agitator in my top loader, it shreds my towels too. However I will NEVER go back to a front loader. Nothing but problems. First one lasted 8 years. Second one had the bearing fail 8 months into the 12 month warranty, then again 8 months later once it was out of warranty. For the cost of repair, I replaced it again.

When I replace this washer, its going to be another top loader, but one of the newer ones that doesnt have a tall agitator.

I had a cleaning lady helping me for several years, she over loaded mine too many times and the drum brackets finally broke. Makes sense now why I always had wet lint to wash off on the dryer screen. I was the biggest dryer on the market at the time (for king comforters, the laundry mats here are gross), overloading both. Too bad. But I like my new one. That said I wish I would have bought a 100% made in the USA.

Yes, top loader only. Front load washers are garbage.

    Why do you say that?
We like our Maytag Neptune well enough...it will be replaced by another front loader when that time comes.

There's more problems with them, compared to top loaders. Toploaders last longer, cost less, and have less repairs needing to be done to them.

That said, supposedly front loaders clean better, but that's a hard one to determine. Some top loaders are tough on clothes, but none of the ones I've ever used have ever wrecked any thing that wasn't already past it's prime when it was put in the washer dirty.

One of their vans is here now. 0117210425.jpg A tiny section of one of our warehouses. Those are 2k bags of pigment. 0117210426.jpg Yep, I checked a few labels, I do process a lot of their pigment.

Because, like car headlights, it will probably go out soon after replacing the washer. They come cheaper in a set (usually), so you would probably save money in the long run.

Love my Samsung front loader - I've had a couple and when I had to get a new one (left the last one at the old house), specifically looked at only front loaders. Mine is almost 8 y/o now and no problems at all (KOW!).

We had an issue at work years ago with garments getting holes in them from top load agitator machines. Turned out the agitator had small burrs and nicks on the agitator fin edges rubbing on the clothes. Fine sandpaper took care of the issue. I'm just trying to recall if it was the way it was molded or from neglect from people.

We had a front load washer, liked it until the bearing went out maybe a yr or so old. Had it fixed under warranty, probably 6 months later it went iut again. Insurance company totaled it like a car, sent us a $600 check. We got a H/E big top load open center washer.

Disagree on that one... minimum 15 loads a week for 12 years it’s a Bosch that’s over 9,000 loads and put zero $$ in it

bogieb I am a land lord, none of my appliances match. Until I got married;)

everything I made was reinvested into properties. Most my furniture was UVM move out day freebies.

Nephews and I didn’t care as long as water was hot and food was good.
