How does everyone clean their chaps? I see now your not suppose to machine wash. Years ago, they said to wash them occasionally to fluff the fibers. I still believe in that, 'cause they do get matted down with oil and dirt.

When done, I usually just firmly pat my chaps to knock off anything loose. I've ever actually cleaned thrm. I'll be interested in knowing if others clean and how.

Hmmmm...Mine say machine wash cold, hang dry. But I never have. Dirty chaps are like a badge of honor.

My stihl chaps say machine wash. My labon and forester say hand wash. So I figure hand wash means delicate cycle for me.

No washing for me, not really concerned if they look dirty.. I'm cuttin' wood. Mainly they get brushed off with my hands but if too crusty, I use compressed air to blow them off.

Saw dust and bar oil. Maybe a little bit of two stroke on there for extra spice.
