Its 24 degrees now outside and 56 inside. I slept right through the night and didn't stoke up the fire around 2am like I usually do. So now I'm furiously burning small 2" splits of oak and ash with the door slightly open to try to get some heat going.
we are cooking here. 42 degrees out. Warmest day in January I've ever seen. Typically it is around 20 plus below. I love it. We still have the living room sitting at 85.
We had 28 this morning with another load of Cherry going in the wood stove, I just came in from outside and our temp is 30.
It's sitting at 27° OT/75°IT right now, probably drop another degree or 2 about 8 AM. Oak chunks/shorts for the win...
Dropped to 7 through the overnight. I think there may be a fire in the basement stove today! No snow.
It has warmed up to 21 already! Made for a nice morning walk. There is a breeze from the south bringing up some warm air from those banana belt areas!
30 with some light precip. Looks like some rain and snow off and on through tomorrow. I've moved snow one time this winter. No complaints!
We had 28.2 this morning, I started our first fire after we came back from shopping. The last I looked, it was 30.2 so we'll have our overnight fire with some cherry splits.
Mid forties this week. Temperature dropping to high of low thirties the next several days. Burning my usual mix, with a few wood scraps from balcony tear down. please bring on some sub zero this year. I love a cozy, heat cost free house.
32 and 68. We actually got a shot of winter overnight. The fresh snow almost completely covered the grass It really does look nice. The stove is chugging along quietly on last nights hardwood load. On another note. Just want to throw out a big thank you to our new friends repeatedly calling from a 11 or 12 digit phone # at 3AM. So nice
