Glad to see the gang still holding together even in July. I have to tell you all how darn glad that I changed out my stove with some good advise. It gave me a whole new opinion about pellets and stoves. This stove just doesn't get as dirty, nor is it fussy about what I feed it. If anyone were to ask me about heating with pellets, I would say talk to folks who are happy with their heating experience. Then : 1. Insulate. 2. Quality stove. 3. Pellet grade. All in that order.
I still don't have my pellets for next year. ( have a half ton left over) , but I think that I'll have a handle on on that by September.

Lazy bones here......only about 6 weeks later than usual.

First pic jammed my leaf blower instantly. Looks like a mouse nest in my leaf blower set up. IMAG0211.jpg IMAG0212.jpg IMAG0215.jpg

Well I have stuff for the stove work coming from all over the place. Maybe by the end of the month it will be all back together and working.

I splurged and ordered ten combustion blower gaskets. I managed to get by using two for the first 30 ton or so.

Just to let everybody know certain forecasters are saying its gonna be a bad winter. All I know is that last winter wasn't kind to my peach tree, no peach blossoms this spring.

    Hello

I finally got my 3 stoves clean but I really want to do the exhaust blower upgrade and go to the 1.75 Ampers that work better in low draft situations. I just put one in an Enviro Mini and it does work quite a bit better! Exhaust blowers work harder on lower speeds and also on startup. Harman was the 1st to have these upgraded exhaust blowers and if HARMAN does it, it must be good!

    What u think?

P.S. (See green wire in last pic)
I even added the light green ground wire with yellow connector to the mini to connect to the upgraded blower to meet the latest electrical code. Safer is always better!

The El Nineo that tried to get off the ground is fading into the never to be zone and the temps above 80 North have been running below normal.

Well, maybe we can hibernate! Last winter was so cold and so long. I know, nothing new, but it took a toll on us.
No power, heat issues and falls were overwhelming. Still not back up and going. Only thing we can do is what most of us here already do. Get ready, be prepared for the worst and hope for the best.

I keep trying to hibernate however the boss keeps hitting me with the fry pan so I don't forget to put pellets in the hopper.

About the falls and healing I was using the drill yesterday and it fetched up, remember don't just use the injured paw to hold a drill. Man did that hurt. ISTR doing the same thing installing network cable in the house back in 2001, it didn't feel good that time either.

Well earlier I managed to get the old no good auger motor off so I can install the new one when it gets here (could be today). I also started reassembly of the stove this morning there are 15 fewer pieces parts lying around. Did I ever mention the PITA lack of space to work inside the stoves shell?

We are going make a junk store run and visit Bray's for lunch.

Smokey, you sure stay busy! Sorry about the twisting your fractured arm got. Chit happens.
Your stove ought to be like new when you get it back together. How old is it?
I know what you mean about tight spaces. I can't bend down, so if I get on the floor, it is like a 10 minute effort to get back on my feet. Very painful.
Hope your shopping trip was productive.
