So not to mess up Dex 665 thread. Here is the 415 65cc I was talking about with yellow AF cover on left. Came stock with 24" 3/8 from TSC store. I am 2nd owner. 1st owner got it smashed by a tree just using it for his 3rd time out. Not sure on tanks through it but look like new inside. Bar had the yellow lettering wore off for idea of use. But still original bar. I wont muffler mod or anything to this saw.
Some post on my site where I thought about doing a MM. I have since muffler modded 505 and maybe one of the others. Here is what Mike said after running the 415 and seeing my post about it.
My favorite from the whole series is the 70.7cc 445. Which when tested against ms440 with dp muffler and a 372xp. 445 outcut them all with 20" which suprised the 2 of us doing the testing. I have a 415 425 445 475 505x2 but sold the yellow 505 to a memeber on my site.
Sure miss my 475...Hope to get another one someday. The Super 380 60cc bought new from local dealer in Mar 2000 is no slouch either...Something went wrong with the electrical all of a sudden about 3 weeks back so its been replaced by the 3400 Countervibe & Mac PM610 for regular duty until I can get it figured out.
I have had a bunch of the 60cc ones in 3750. Nice weight to power IMO. I liked them over the way overrated 262xp. Give up alittle in the cut. The 3500 PP365 with smaller intake and carb is my fav of those 60cc saws too.
Think I called it project green jeans. The wild thing covers was a for thought that came later by suggestion.
stihl 066 piston, partner 5000 coil installed to get rid of the limited 11k coil that came in it. 475 505 suck with the stock limited coils IMO.
