    We have been getting a couple hours of sunshine here and there. Yesterday afternoon we got sunshine and a clear sky in the early evening. Pouring buckets right now with quite a wind storm. Yesterday morning the power was out two times for about 15 min. each. campinspecter has lots of gas for the gennys ready to go. I can't get over how dark it is at 10:30 AM.

    It's been flurrying for about 18hrs. We've got a sugar coating of snow on the ground. Possibly, an inch.

    I hope to do some cutting of branches and limbs, this morning. Maybe, top off a rack.

    Good morning everyone! We got a coating of snow, too, but it's already 30° and headed up, so it'll melt. I got some wood moved yesterday, and some sugar maple split and added to my new stack. More of that today.
    I heard that the polar vortex is on the move again. The end of January may be wild! Get your licks in now before it snows.

    Morning all. Rain has eased off and I think we get a break until next week. We are headed down island to see the chiropractor and pick up some tools. I tweaked my back on Christmas day so it needs to be tweaked back.

    Good morning. The stove was still putting out heat from a nice bed of coals after 6 hours of burning a relatively small load of wood. It also kept the furnace from kicking in until I was re-loading the stove. The early results are promising.
