That's where rum is dangerous. You'll be fine for a while, but hit that limit, and you're done. 3vIg.gif

    Possibly.

All of my responsibilities are taken care of tonight, except for taking the pups out to go potty.

All gifts are wrapped, there's enough firewood in the house, and there's enough booze on the shelf.

    What else does one need?

I just remembered today that I have a bottle of their Mad Elf Grand Cru in my fridge. Unfortunately I was not able to split it with my friends, and it’s way too much for me in one sitting.

I was presented with a bottle of bended scotch for Christmas. Not too bad. Has anyone else tried this? What are your impressions?

Egnog here. Home made, uncooked. Fun.to spike with coconut rum, peach or butterscotch schnapps, kaluah, Jamaican rum....
    Never bought eggnog since making.

What's your recipe? I love nog. I am working on the last half of my half gallon left for the season of store bought. There's none left in the stores now I see.

I leave my nog unmolested though, aka no alcohol in it. I'll take my shot of rum on the side please.;)

I'm drinking plantation dark rum and coke tonight.

Horkn: I think the recipe came from Old Mr. Boston bar book. Here it is.
Save a 1G milk jug or use 1G pitcher. It goes sour in 6 or 7 days, a half batch has worked for us.

    1 doz egg yolks
    1 doz egg whites
    1# sugar (2c)
    2qt whole milk
    1qt heavy cream
    Pinch baking soda (critical component)
    Garnish w nutmeg

Beat (well) yolks and whites separately. Combine and add sugar. Mix. Mix in milk, cream and baking soda. Mix well, pour off into jug or pitcher. ***let stand overnight to properly blend.
Originally served w 1/4-1/2 c wiskey per batch.

    Most welcome.
Its rich stuff, like cherry creamcheese pie....best taken slowly. I did not care for it in coffee however.

When it comes to thick egg nog, I usually thin it out a tad with milk.

Sounds like this stuff will go directly to my artery walls.
