Making some good progress there. SERIOUS load of limb wood in the truck. Did you lose any on the way home? No speed bumps either i hope! LOL!!!

Truck was loaded a bit more than usual and trailer a bit less than usual. I worried about losing some off the truck, but went nice and slow so as not to! Luckily, it all made it there:yes:

Why won't you be able to get all the trunk wood? That should be the easiest to split...

Boy it sure is amazing how much wood is in those big trunks, and boy, are they dense! Got a load out before the freezing rain. Hope to get the rest of it tomorrow. The picture is what I have left. 3EDF08F0-578D-4912-8EF5-CD85DF1B3791.jpeg 575123A4-CEFA-4A72-B327-3189CD0CB71B.jpeg 66D5C840-4A2A-4516-AF37-0C7AC481B06F.jpeg 900B3FA6-FF00-4048-8FC4-1824422274CF.jpeg

Withdrawing pretty hard here! Didn’t make it out Sunday because of a poorly timed birthday party, and the last two days here at the house helping the kids with school work. Might be able to get out this afternoon for a couple hours with the kiddos depending on how long it takes them to finish school. Till then, I’ll live vicariously through the rest of you:rofl: :rofl:

Made it out for my fix yesterday morning after a three day drought! Cut a cord to add to my pile to be split. Nice variety of wood including white oak, elm, and hickory lot of cutting as I’m getting down to some of the smaller stuff in the fencerow I’ve been working on. Over 30 cord of wood I’ve taken out of that fencerow so far! Forgot to take pics in all the excitement:rofl:

After working 4 day stretch, was able to get back out the last two days for a load each day. Got some good progress pics that show what I’ve gotten done and what I’ve got left. Figure I’ve probably got 2 or 3 loads left. It’s been fun:saw::saw::saw: First pic shows what I have left. Second pic is what I’ve completed. Farmer wanted the big tree left, so I’m gonna cut off the low branches and the ones that were damaged. Because I wasn’t sure how long I’d have to work on the project, I prioritized the sizable cherry first, then got three oaks that were a little smaller than the one the farmer wanted left ( second pic), and now, I started at the one end of the fencerow and am getting everything else that was left. 0028D92C-245C-4F2F-BE68-3D911BFF4FF9.jpeg 58D8ED2F-98F2-4388-8478-54EFC7AE6ECA.jpeg 57196D3E-00E7-46EB-ABBF-68768402ED7F.jpeg

Not sure if he’ll be burning it or pushing it to the field edge. He said he’d take care of it though. Saves me a lot of work:yes:

Out for another load! Lots of cutting to get a full load with the size of stuff I was working on. Pic one is how I left it yesterday and pic two is how it looks now. May still have a few loads left. Hard to tell exactly. C0D188B8-0304-4887-9A01-D5AA3E1EE704.jpeg CA84E996-9FBF-4E5D-95BF-D8999EB342CA.jpeg

For sure more to come out. Just hard for me to tell exactly how much. Compare pic one to pic two and I would think two or three more. Laying down is a probably 20 foot cherry trunk that is about 24” diameter that has to be gotten too. I’ll definitely let you know what it ends up being:thumbs:

    Nice work!

I cut and split a half decent load today. Nothing like that though. Mostly smaller stuff, which and a couple bigger rounds that were butt leftovers from the white pines my buddy fell in March.
