    Well....

I did a walk-around with my SIL at her place. There's 6 trees marked to come down. Some sassafras and black birch.

I noticed an oak tree had come down. Maybe 12in diameter. There's a JD tractor there to pull the oak log out to process on flatter land.

There tractor will also be used to encourage the other trees to fall where we want them to.

Good afternoon all. Glad to hear your back on your feet Molly. It's a pain being sick.
Since you got called back in Jeff, when is your next day off?
    Have a good day all.

We were getting down into the single digits to teens the last week or so. We are not losing ice, but not making much either.

Good morning everyone! Looks like a gray day today, but I'm ready for some outside time. I got a 6' length of some kind of softish wood at the dump yesterday. I'll get that out of the car and cut it up into short sections for my grandson to split. He asked to do some splitting last weekend, but I didn't have anything soft enough.
I need to bring more sugar maple in, and take a full can of ashes to the dump as well. Great thing about firewood, there's always something to do!
I'm trying to stay out of public spaces as much as possible. The more contagious variant has turned up in Saratoga NY, so it's most likely everywhere. T.Jeff, if you haven't got sick yet, you must be doing something right!
If I get blue, I think of all those bulbs I planted last fall, waiting for spring! bulbs-sprouting-blog.jpg
    Have a happy day, all!

Morning All Pouring rain again and wind is predicted for today. Definitely an indoor day for chores. Molly's picture of bulbs coming up had me thinking about mine outside. I have quite a few planted in containers and yes, they are peaking through.

    Everyone have a great day.

I got all my splits moved. One more load should top it off. About 5 loads for 1/3 cord.
