I miss those days, we had a lot of fun times. We all did a lot of chit we should have been jailed for. I look at my daughter now and shake my head when she says she’s going to do something that I know what it would have turned into when I was a kid. We actually went to Comstock last summer but didn’t get to the camps. After Harold died his son took the business over and sold off a lot of the woodlands operations and is building the trucking side back up. Harold was sentimental about the woods. French Canadian came here got his start in the woods. He was a good man.

Spent most of today and much of the last few days going through papers and some other things. My wife was a champion pack rat so we've contributed much paper to recycling. Maybe we'll have a huge book sale next spring too as she had tons of books.

Speaking of books, I also have many chess books and magazines. I wish I could find a chess club or a budding new player who could use some.

Backwoods Savage , my wife is a minimalist. I'm the hoarder of things that can and should and sometimes don't get used in the future.;)

Hopefully you can find some club or enthusiast(s) that would really appreciate those items.

Who wants a free coal/wood furnace? Our new cabin has a pole shed and this is tucked in a corner. Seems to me that paint got a little hot a time or two.

Well Dave I just came in from plowing my yard for 2 hours. First time plowing this winter. Found the edge, I’ll leave it at that.

    Yes. Slow Tonight.

To make it more exciting, earlier I emptied ashes from the stove, hauled a ice fishing shed full of ash splits inside from the stacks, and also adjusted the blower fan in the quadrafire so that it doesn't rattle anymore. That was annoying when you'd turn it up any past low speed and the fan housing vibrated against the mount. It's nice and quiet now, even at full speed.
