14* this morning 35* now just loaded up the OWB with some Red Maple That will be good till tomorrow afternoon. House at 72*.
34 and a generous amount of rain/sleet/snow mix is falling. Wind is shifting around to the NW and picking up. Boiler is still burning some walnut from yesterday. I'll throw another couple chunks on before bed tonight.
So you went with the LCT engine, not the Briggs polar force? When I got my new Ariens snowblower a couple years, I had the choice of LCT or the Briggs polar force. The Briggs is essentially a Honda clone, but made in the USA. The LCT are Chinese. They are probably totally fine, as they have to meet ariens quality specs, but there's other reasons to not go with Chinese stuff when possible.
Probably around 8" of that white nuisance out there since yesterday. About 5" this morning, then at least 3" or so more since then. Maybe a bit more coming overnight. Sitting at 18 right now with a little breeze.
34* out 67* in....it is supposed to hang around freezing with rain/sleet the next day or 2. Yuck! Red maple today
52 and heavy fog this morning here at 3,200 ft elevation. I'll keep the fire going with small limbs from the trees I've been clearing. Just enough to keep the dampness and chill out.
Hovering around 40 and damp for most of the day here. Supposed to be dropping into the 20s later this evening. I cleaned the ashes from the stove this morning, tossing them into the garden. Just got the stove going again with some blue spruce shorties/uglies.
4 this morning made for a "brisk" walk. No new snow overnight, thats always a good thing since I don't own a ski hill or snowmobile!
Happy New Years from Alaska! Was -22* and 72* at the house when I left for graveyards, saw -23* to -8* on the commute.
Dropped to 4 overnight, thats all. Nice. The extended forecast shows highs in the 20's and even into the 30's! Looks like burning tires all of those years in the OWB is beginning to pay off with mild winters!!!!
Happy New Year everyone. Chilly rain in south central NC today, high of 48*. Burning Bradford Pear, Red Maple and some Post Oak.
20* out 65* in when I got up this morning. We are supposed to get hit with the freezing rain sometime around noon or shortly after. Today I've got a mixture of uglies to burn since I will be home.
