Looks good bogieb . We had leftovers from the night before. Leftovers again today. I can live on cheese, crackers and dip for a bit.
    :D

I will be doing something outside today at some point. The ground should have froze enough to move rounds to the ever growing pile. Maybe some attic work too.

My army buddy, say 5.56 will penetrate us army body armor but 7.62 won’t.

Caffeine in. Almost time for a trash run to the transfer station. I’ll get in line early. We have our first snow of the year.

Maybe I'll throw the plow onto the truck and head down to the cottage. The driveway will need some attention after all the snow.

I think your buddy needs to do some more reading.;). There's a lot of variables to that story, however, apples to apples the x39 has a lot more punch to it.

What level of protection body armor and which versions of the projectiles. There are armor-piercing variants of both and I'm pretty sure both variants have very similar armor piercing capabilities.

I didnt make it outside to process wood today. I visited a friend who closed on a house a few weeks ago. I brought him some stovin' stuff. He has a woodstove and just picked up a splitter. Got his saw fired up and tried the splitter out. He is off to a good start with gear. He has a lot of standing dead to work on.

    Maybe I'll get out tomorrow.

Snowmobilers are hitting it hard around here. The trails have to be in crap shape though.

The Christmas storm ended up being a dud in my end of town. Some local outages scattered around but it was mostly just a rain event for me. My uncle 6 miles away got clobbered though with more downed trees and wires. I ended up going over there today to process a red maple that fell across the gravel road leading to his house. It went well with both of us bucking it, then I was running the splitter while he was loading his truck/trailer. Got it all moved and stacked just before we ran out of daylight. I really enjoy cutting wood outdoors when it’s below freezing. Helping him out was a bonus too. Made it home and there was a nice bed of coals still pushing out the heat, so I threw in a nice big split of red oak. Good times.

I bet the snowmobilers are not to happy here with all the rain yesterday. Almost no snow at all left. The great thing is the driveway is ice free and we didnt lose power. The wind was strong yesterday. Took some shingles off the roof.

Yup, I just spent the last 2 hours rounding up trash and recyclables, takes way too long to break down all the boxes and sort stuff out! They just switched trash companies (again) here locally and the new one wants everything sorted out and super picky about things...want this, not that, blah blah blah...about ready to throw it all in the trash! :hair:

Put almost 400 miles on today, and visited a place I never have before. St.Shott's is the southernmost community in NL, with its own access road several miles long, a population of 66 (2016 census, 2011 was pop. 81 so we'll see what it is come 2021 census), it's a half hour's drive to a place with a population over 400, an hour and a half drive to a place with a population over 1,000, and 2 hours to a place with significantly more than that. The whole surrounding area is just extremely barren lands with hardly more than a shrub for square miles and square miles. And it's almost always foggy.

I wouldn't live there. But I'd never been there before, and now I have. If the area was forested instead of so barren, I'd be a tad more interested. By the time we got to St.Mary's bay, containing such communities as St.Vincent's (pic 4) and Gaskiers (pic 5), the return of forest and some sunlight was a welcome sight.

now that I've been to st.shott's, I probably won't be in a hurry to return.

Do you know if they become trees again at some point past that?
