    I was at work then at home, but wouldn't have minded riding out our blizzard like this guy!

    It was a balmy 45f when I got in my truck for work yesterday at 5:30AM, and it was 10f at 7PM. Now it is at zero with -20f windchill.

    Same here. I can then get back to cutting and splitting the red oak logs at my SIL's. Then, move them back here further processing.

    Morning All. Just above freezing this morning but still windy. I think we are getting a storm tonight and tomorrow. Don't think there will be snow though, just rain. Chores to do and then escape into the sewing room.

    Good morning everybody. Gonna be low 40s with rain today. Going to turn to snow this evening and tomorrow continue ❄ snow ❄.
    Chaz is working between the rain to bring more wood down to the porch. It is a sloppy mess out there.

    I'm the other way around...I'll take feet of snow over any rain this time of year. With the flash freeze that is coming at the end of the rain it just means a solid layer of ice under everything which will be here until late spring. Makes it a PITA with a dirt road and driveway. I also heard one report yesterday evening that said we could get 4-9 inches of rain in the higher elevations. Last time we had that (without the snow pack) we lost roads and bridges here so this could be an interesting storm.

    The good news is that while I was at the gas station this morning topping off my fuel cans, I ran into the owner of a local tree company. I know him, as his father only lives a couple houses away, but hadn't run into him in years. He is more than happy to add me to his list to get hardwood shorts that he can't sell to the firewood processors. So now I will hopefully get a few (free) loads of hardwoods delivered each year to add to my scrounges. What a great Christmas present!

    Merry Xmas everyone. We are missing the snow storm. Haven't received any snow yet at all. But it looks icey out there. They are saying maybe this afternoon. Chaz and I haven't exchanged gift in years. But we talked about it and he is going to get some things for his ham radio and he is going to get me a nice, nothing fancy, zoom camera.
