This guy will take all the old fence boards and posts off of a job. I know the oak boards he has loaded up here will become reclaimed flooring. There are over 2000 cut down pieces on the trailer. I keep loading and he never says stop.

Anyone else have an overloaded pic or two to share?

Wow! That is a nice looking rig.
Is that what you've been using that 241cm for?

Slightly off topic, but your thread title triggered this thought. I am a collector of Studebaker vehicles, as some may know they were the only manufacturer to make the transition from horse drawn to gasoline power. One method they used to show the strength of their vehicles was to pair it against a competitor and load both until an axle broke. You would be surprised how much weight wooden axles and wheels can hold before failing.

Normally need a strap that size for every 5000lbs. So either he only has about 15k on there or he needs several more straps.
    I'd have 3-4 per row!

A guy that landlords a few houses near me has one of those trucks. I laugh every time he shows up cause he just uses it to tow a tiny trailer for a lawn tractor.

He is probably 'writing off' that truck because he needs it to maintain his income producing properties (or so he tells the IRS)! Even though he tows less than a ton!

I'd have to take a pic. This trailer and "tractor" is light enough that my Jetta would have no trouble towing it.

I don't know if its lifted but it sits taller than my dumptruck even!

He's probably not as overloaded as you think. The trailer is certainly ok. What's the truck? Looks to be bigger than an F550? Diggin' the super singles on the rear, don't see that everyday around here.

Check the loaded truck thread. There a few there. Some posted by me but only on a small truck and trailer.

Looks like good wood why give it away..and not charge a quarter a board or something or even a dollar ?

He is overloaded and said as much. 2000 half boards is 1000 full oak boards which would be 40000 pounds fresh cut from the mill. 20k trailer. the boards are lighter than fresh but not that much lighter. Maybe 25K

And the 241 has been earning its keep. +/- 6000 cuts last week.

Im pretty sure it would be an F650 at least if it was stock with that front clip. The 550 still has a pickup front clip.

Didn't I see a trailer load of logs getting pulled by a Dodge 2500 you posted the other day?

    Yes, but it wasn't overloaded.

I have pics somewhere of 4 tons of gravel in my 3500. :D
