    Pretty much.

I recently rebuilt the planetary rear axle on my snow cat.....and there are 13 fairly herky ball bearings and one big roller bearing in the gear box.

I took notice of all the bearing numbers and their locations.

Then came the trip to the bearing wholesale house....

The cost of the one roller bearing was $700 ......:faint:

So off to ebay to shop.

I am not real keen on the Chinese stuff either.....they are so proud of most of it they do not even put their name on it.....PLAIN WHITE WRAPPER....

I ended up getting a New old stock SKF (Not China) for $20 and that was to the door.

I think one of the reduction box bearings was made in China....but at least it had a name on it.

    Some pics.

This sucker had gotten full of water and was a mess......
Took a few weeks to get it all cleaned up while the bearings were in route.
Two of the bearings for the reduction box gears came from Macedonia....(ebay sale....I did not pay attention to where they were located......All new European made...made in 1987...still new in box, never opened )

Not trying to rag on the postal service for no cause,
but they sure have had their problems this year..
    I understand..
I sent a small USPS "priority box" on the 14th, to CT.. from NH.
    170miles.
It took 6 days, to get to Nashua NH... 50 minutes away.
It may get delivered today.. 10 days later.

They sent one up here, the same day.
It is now in Oshkosh, WI.
    HUH???

Similar experience here Dan. Ordered an item on eBay on Dec 1st. Seller gave the item to USPS on Dec 3rd. Should have been here on the 5th, but that’s not what happened. Checked the tracking on it every day and it remained in status “processed through USPS facility” in the origin city for 14 days. I was considering requesting a refund when it finally showed up at my house 15 days after the expected delivery date. It’s the holiday season in a strange year so things are even more tied up than usual. They must have a mountain of a backlog to get through.

I have the same thing going on with USPS and a battery. It's a little 3.7V lithium ion rechargeable battery the size of an AA. Ordered the 15th with expedited shipping that was twice the price of the battery. USPS tracking still says "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item". I should have just chose the $3 shipping. Would have been the same result.

I sent a card to the western slope of Colorado and it took around 3 weeks! Priority mail (box) sent on the 9th to the same place and it just arrived in Denver this morning.

And you want me to believe that they handled the ballots without any "outside help"? :picard:

    Well now.....

We are back up and running at full capacity on the computer again.

Yesterday we headed back to the AT&T store and finished up getting things all set.

The store was supposed to get us a "Home cellular LTE router"
Each phone has a 30 gig data plan...We have one extra line for our old office number so folks can find us.....The store manager revealed the fact that having one more extra phone would give us 60 gigs....plus our personal phones each have 30 gigs of data.

The Galaxy A71 was on a promotional for Christmas at $1 month plus the data package.

We ended up with a buttload of data...and the bill is $134 mo cheaper.

A tad more messing around to get things up and running in the morning......but well worth it.

I have to fire up the Galaxy and turn on the hotspot.....then we're good to go.

I always liked having LTE router turned on and internet always ready to go.

But the cost savings this time around was well worth it....
And there is an extra phone laying around the office

    You are right.
Nation wide, the are ~19,000 employees short.
And at the distribution centers, the stuff is coming in
MUCH faster than going out... so it is just sitting in staging areas,
they get to it as they can.
Has to be tough on all of them.
I see mail and UPS trucks go by at 9:00 at night.

Wow, that package is getting the scenic route!

I sent two large envelopes to Kansas on 12/12. On 12/19, the first day I checked, they were still in Nashua (50 miles from my place and first stop after they leave my post office). I checked on 12/21 and it didn't even give me a location, just said "in transit". Checked today and they are finally at the Wichita Distribution center. So they won't be getting to their destination on time. No biggie (although irritating), they can open the cards and calendars any time - they won't go stale.

OTH, both my parent's and sister's regular sized cards got here within 3-5 dyas of being mailed.

Just got an email from my sister that she received her envelope a couple of minutes ago. Only took 12 days. Now just have to find out when the parental units get their envelope - I know they don't have it yet because mom just emailed me tpictures so I could identify some birds for her.
