25* out 68* in....gonna be in the upper 30s today. We may even hit 40*. Tomorrow is supposed to be near 50* with rain then temps will take a nose dive tomorrow night Red maple doing what it does
27 currently. Supposed to rain and be in the mid 50’s Thursday and Friday. No white Christmas this year.
We had our high last night. Currently 48f with a winter storm warning. They are predicting a whopping 1"-2" this afternoon so this could be my last post ever as I don't think we will survive. Falling temps all day with winds of 50-55mph. Oh the humanity!
Going to be a mess around here Thursday night into Friday. As of last night's weather report, we're in one of the locations for 3-4 inch rainfall, which will be interesting with the expected 50-60 mile winds. When you factor in the snowpack, it could be a nasty Christmas day requiring cooking on the woodstove. Hope you have it better down your way.
Mild here...about 45 now, getting close to 60 this afternoon. Winds are kicking up...supposed to have gusts to 45. Temperature falls from this evening through Thursday all the way to single digits. Boiler is currently eating 4-5 large splits of black oak a day.
Storm watch upgraded to storm warning now. Some spots up to 16". Trouble is, it is above freezing now, so the first part of the snow will be wet. Then, the temps drop to below zero overnight and that wet snow freezes wherever it is....like snow banks. It's going to be a mess cleaning this one up.
We will have one, got a good foot of snow here, take a lot of rain to melt that. I didn't know we were gonna get 3 or 4 " of rain. That will do a number on my snowpack for sure.
Snow wind cold. White out conditions this morning, only accumulated a couple inches. 74 inside with Ash and maple rolling
Was 48 today, started raining around noon, and rained all day, 33 now and turning to snow and wind is picking up. Calling for 2-4inchs and 3F by the morning with wind chills as low as 20 below.
But on the plus side, miss redneck and I went to Walmart today and we got our Christmas gift from me to her and her to me
Yep, same here guy. We dropped like a rock from 45 to 10 and expecting to go a little lower yet. Blizzard conditions here, but only a couple inches of snow expected. Good thing I brought some wood in earlier. We got Ash and Spruce in the stove right now.
It got to the low 50's at the official weather site today. The wind has been strong out of the south. Temps actually went up last night. Temps dropping now into the mid to lower 20's with single digit temps in the morning. Snow is off to our west yet. We did get a little bit of rain earlier today. Haven't heard anything come down yet.
Outside: Inside: We lost power for a couple hours earlier today. Visibility down to 1/2 mile. Current temp 10F with a wind speed of 28-50 kts. Feels like -13. Never been so glad to have the new stove.
