Guess hoarding is done for a bit now. The snow from the last 2 days is starting to melt turning the yard into a squishy mess. The forecast has daily highs in the upper 30's with rain for next few days. Then nearv40. So until it freezes hard or thaws and dries guess I'll just have to admire what work I managed to get done.
The same here...sort of. A foot of snow puts an end to my firewood making for a bit. I did cover a bunch of oak rounds but dont feel like walking the 100 yards through a foot of snow to work on them.
I got my snowshoes out that were a last years Xmas present that I hadn’t used and went for a walkabout my 10 acres. My first time ever doing snow shoeing. I feel muscles that I had forgot about! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We got anywhere from 16-27" in my part of the world. Almost 20" at my house pretty much put an end to firewooding until most of it goes away.
Yes, just takes some getting used to. Great when working on dead and down but not ideal when dropping trees if you have to move quickly to an escape route.
