My initial impressions echo the others. Excellent packaging and great looks. I fired mine up for just a little bit but haven't put it in wood yet. It sounds great and sounds strong.

Here is the sticker of the serial number. Looks like manufacture date of 06/2009.

I meant AR-15 upper. I've been buying parts to build one. I have 3 saw rebuilds and 3 more to port at home now.

I knew you were talking AR-15! Well it sounds like you will be busy rebuilding and porting saws!

It would be like, 'pull the string and go cut wood, no messing around'!

No wonder the rewind was a bit sticky, these have been sitting on a shelf in VA for the last 5 years looking for a home!

I love that post. You don't buy tools to look at.

Yeah Cory, sort of like the people with $100,000.00 kitchens and the only thing they know how to make is reservations!

I am going to the Cabin on Sat or Sun and staying till Thursday. Sunday or Monday I should have some pics, maybe a video (service is not that great where I am in Pa), and reports on how it preforms.

I was hoping to have the 362C-M back by then, but Randy was just finishing up Wednesday and I didn't want to risk it not coming until Monday and no one being home all week. So I won't get the 362 back till after the weekend of the 27th.

Now that is what I am talking about. Let'em eat. Thanks Chvymn99

So does the AV still feel way soft like I remember on the 681 from 08-09-10?

Shep tells me that you can switch the AV springs with those from a Dolmar 7900, but it is a PITA if you don't know the trick to getting the springs off. Solo uses a bigger screw in the AV mounts than Dolmar so you have to get the springs off the black keepers to switch out the screws.

Just got a PM from Randy, the saws and C/P kit showed up today, a day early. So now we wait, until who knows when! Probably not until after he does Splitoak's 441C!

I will be very content. I will be taking the 460 With 28" and the 665 with the 20" Forester, and a 16" Stihl bar to mount on it for light duty work (with an 8 pin rim, it should be very fun)

I know none of these are broken in yet, but if anyone has a tach it would be interesting to me to know where they are idleing at and what they are turning WFO with bar and chain!
