image.jpg Work was called off today! Depending on when it stops I may still go in and help clean up. I’m sure there will be plently of people there. Most of my coworkers like money more than their family.

    Grace Moments

    What every wife wants
    by Pastor Mike Novotny

What does a woman want? As a dude, I would be completely unqualified to answer that question. But I’m a Bible dude, so I actually know. Husbands, future husbands, brothers who have sisters, are you ready to write this down?

Guys, what every woman wants is . . . God. Remember back in the beginning when God created the first woman. What did he do first? He created the man and then gave the man his Word. The Word about worship, about the garden, about God. This is what it means for the husband to be “the head of the wife” (Ephesians 5:23). He is the leader in the seeking-God project! His job is to share the Word with his wife, to tell her about God, to grab her hand and lead her to the source of eternal love.

Flowers are fine but only God never wilts; his grace never falls like dead petals on the kitchen table. Marble countertops are great, but only God is the rock that can support her soul through stress and kids and cancer. Vacations are fun, but only Jesus can give rest to her soul, a rest she doesn’t have to work for, pay for, a rest that never ends. Deep in her heart is a longing to be loved, and God will always love her; a longing to do something that matters, and God promises every cup of water she gives to the kids in Jesus’ name will not be forgotten. We are temporary men who can give temporary gifts. But, by God’s grace, we can lead her to the eternal God. That’s really what a woman wants.

We may end up having to pay for that. I misread the paper and it was a denial. I guess. We have to update our income yearly. Didn't know that. I have some calls out.

A friend shared these with me today. Maine is beautiful during the winter. Esp. when you get to view these pictures from inside your warm home. I don't know how those horses tolerate hauling those wagons on these frozen roads. We continue to have issues with car drivers not giving the horses more room as they pass. We have two settlements here in Maine that I am aware of. One nearby.

I've been on that road. And paul Cyr is a phenomenal photographer! I've been getting his newsletters for 10 years or so.

I just had a fun idea (should have sent it to my Secret Santa Victim...), I bought 2 small dispenser bottles of hand sanitizer last fall (our town was out for months, same online), :hair: they both reek like pure tequila, only stronger :hair:. I'm going to wrap them up for gag gifts for my Mother and my Dad's wife  :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

WWW and I went to vote together, and he santized before going to get in line, it was early voting at the court house and there were cop cars and cops walking by, WWW was afraid to go in reeking like tequila:eek:. He did, it wears off but I can't wait for them to try it with encouragement  :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

That’s just a few miles from my wife’s parents house. They have that view from the living room picture window. They have settlements in Oakfield, Fort Fairfield, Sherman, Whitefield, Unity, Palmyra. There’s probably more, those are just he ones I can think of.

This cold weather makes me hungry and lazy. I’m gaining weight. Time to start getting out more and walking and cutting more firewood. Unfortunately vacation doesn’t start until next week. :(:headbang:Soon though. Soon!

I ended up with about 12" on the ground at my house by the time it all stopped. I was hoping for more but clearing out a foot of snow was enough for me today before going to work. After clearing the driveway and sidewalks, I took the snowblower into the backyard and cleared out a loop for my son to ride his 4 wheeler. Poor kid didn't weigh enough and kept spinning the rear tires. With both of us on it we had plenty of traction to rip around for a while. I'll have to put some chains on the tires so he'll be able to ride it in the snow. He was supposed to do the remote learning for school today but my wife and I decided that the kids could use a mental health day for a change. It's been a rotten year of restrictions, doing as they're told etc. and we wanted to give the kids a chance to be kids. They've sacrificed enough already and one day of hooky isn't going to condemn them to a life of failure. Anyway it was a blast playing in the snow and well worth blowing off school for the day.
