Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY. We had a great time at the church Christmas supper last night. Had roast, ham, mashed taters, green beans, squash casserole, butter beans, sweet taters, biscuits and a table full of desserts. We also had a great program. Local girl, Lindsey Huggins, she is a Nashville recording artist, recently moved back here to her home church to lead music and worship ministry. Here is 1 song she did last night.

Look her up on YouTube, "Praying women" is a great song she does.

That's what I need to do, but we are actually going to rest a bit...:jaw:...we are leaving in a bit to drive about 4 hrs over to the Ft Payne Ala area. See our friends, Craig and Dee Dee. I worked with him for over 20 yrs and she is from New England. She was born in Connecticut and lived in South Maine for many years. He is pursuing his music career. They came over in Oct, cleaned out a storage building at his dad's. His dad gave him his bass boat. I pulled it here to the house then, we are taking it to them today, spend tomorrow visiting, come back Thursday.
I did get to spend a couple hours yesterday afternoon splitting 6 of those hickory rounds and stacking it. 1212201041.jpg 1214201648.jpg

Winter is starting to shape up like a few years ago where you guys got all the snow down your way and we hardly got squat. They couldn't even groom most of the snowmobile trails that season and 100 miles south of us they were running out places to put snow. I didn't even register the sled that year and never rode it off the property.

Once again we're not supposed to get anything from the storms this week except for a dusting. The wind is kicking though. Highest gust on the rockpile overnight was 111 mph so the house is definitely rocking.

Morning All. Wet and windy this morning. Almost got the packages ready for the mail. Final push this morning. Then I can decorate for Christmas. It was an exciting Monday night football game.

    Everyone have a great day.

I understand how much people look forward to outdoor activities, in the winter months. Absolutely disappointing when Mother Nature goes against it.

Good afternoon all. Sorry I can't send any pic to you Brandon as we don't have any. Don't miss it in the least.
I hope you and Carol enjoy your visit with your friends. You guys deserve a rest.
Hope all you guys in line with the storm stay safe and warm. Hope nobody gets any damage.
Molly, did you really look for the nastiest snow ❄ pic you could find. If so you did a good job. :rofl:
    Have a great day all.

Didn't have to look hard, it was right down the block from me.
Would have been better with a shopping cart embedded in it, though.

Good Morning All! Up extra early this morning because of the weather. I heard the rain on the roof and couldn’t get back to sleep. Wondering if I’ll be doing storm damage mitigation, or streets and walks, or sweet f all. Hoping easterners keep their power on and safe travels if you have to.

Good morning everyone! I think they're saying we're supposed to get 16-20" here. I don't pay much attention to their hysteria. We may or may not get a bunch of snow. Either way life goes on.

    Good morning, all.

I have a scheduled Dr's appt this morning.

Then nor'easter prep. They are forecasting 12-18in of snow. Starting tonight and all day tomorrow.

I'll be moving wood, gassing up the snowblower, fill bird feeders, park vehicles for easier snow dealings.

I did grocery shopping yesterday. So no need to go back.

Midwinter - looks like you're now in the 12in zone. I hope you have time to tend to anything needed to be tended to.

I'll probably roll my loaded 2-wheel log dolly, inside and sit it not far from the stove.

    Stay safe
    Stay healthy

Fwiw the forecast is already wrong for me. Freezing temps/rain started 4hrs sooner than predicted.

    Good morning everyone!
I blew off cutting oak yesterday, ran around and did a bunch of errands instead. The bar tip on the 250 was slightly bent, so I got a new bar. Not looking forward to working in the cold today, but I think I'd better, 12 inches of snow isn't going to melt off anytime soon. There are some largish limbs, and 3 big butts that will need some noodling and wedging.
After today, shoveling will be my life for awhile. And housecleaning. That will get old fast. 6bt3qez.jpg
    Happy Wednesday my dudes!

Morning All. Wet this morning again. Doesn't look like it will be a white Christmas this year. We seem to be in a rain pattern. I think we are going out to cut down a Christmas tree this morning. It will have to dry out in the carport for a day before we put it up.
Got everything mailed yesterday. Hopefully everything arrives on time. Our Postal system has been flooded this year. So much for it going bankrupt like it was predicted a few years ago because no one was sending letters. Amazon certainly changed that.

    Everyone have a great day.

Good afternoon all. Cold out today. Suppose to start snowing this afternoon. 1-5"so not too worried. Everybody stay safe out. And don't forget that Brandon wanted pics of snow. I think everyone should send him a bunch when you get a chance.
Hope your mini vacation is going well for you and Carol Jeff.
    Have a great day all.
    Stay healthy and stay safe.
