Seeing how several of us got one of these (counting Randy, I believe 6 went to members here), I think it would be best it we put our pics, reviews, likes, dislikes, etc all together.

I will start with the likes.

1.) It comes in a factory box, that is packed better than any other saw I have seen. It is "strapped" with plastic banding inside the box. It has a very thick front and back portion that is double thick, and the saw could not move if it was dropped. The one thing I regret is not taking a pic before I cut that band and taking the saw out. Best packaging from a Manufacturer. .

2.) It comes with a nice scrench and a small flathead screwdriver that has a pocket clip. Makes it very handy to carry in the pocket of your pants or your shirt pocket.

    3.) It looks great!

4.) It comes with 2 air filters. A summer felt filter and a winter mesh filter. I love that.. :)

5.)... The muffler looks different than the one on the 6400 I had (I know the 6400 was a Cat and this is one is not). It looks much easier to open up and mod. Also, the deflector is pointed away from the saw and we'll under the top cylinder cover (no heat damage).

    6.) It looks great!

7.) 65 cc closed quad port cylinder. Over the 64 cc open port design of the Dolkita's.

I bought a Total bar from WVhunter for it, but then I broke down and bought a Forester Pro. After fitting each? I like the Total. And the Total is a little lighter (see Bar weight thread). But the Forester is large mount Husq and the Total is Stihl. Without another Large Husq, I dont have a choice. So the Total will go on the 362C-M.

    A few pics..

The filters and items that came with it..

So let's see them. I know there are more of these. Let's show these bad boys off and tell the folks what's hot and whats not!

Dexter, only you would review a saw without cutting anything with it.

That is a sticker that will be removed. I think they all will be that way and it's probable that it was put on that way, because it's put on proper.... All stickers on the top will be coming off.

    It's a 60th anniversary sticker..

Dex get an adapter from homelite410 and then you can run those bars on it. I only buy stihl mount bars if I'm buying new. I lengthen the slot and open the adjuster holes up on them all.

I've had the adapter from Mike, for sometime now. The only reason I want the Forester on the Solo, is because I don't have any other saw it will fit on. Yes, the Total will fit as well, but it will fit any of my Stihls as well. I just don't want a brand new bar to either lay around and not get used, or sell it, and get some of the money back.

I jumped the gun and bought the Forester bar at the beginning of this past week. I should have just waited for the Total bar to come first. Because that Total does look good on there

I really (REALLY) like that Total. :D

Thanks for getting this started Dex.

Right now here are my thoughts:

    1) Dang its Sexy...especially with those shiny bars...

    2) Great Packaging. Its buckled in. It comes with a winter filter, a black wrench, a clip screw driver, and the other side felling dogs.

    3) Love the rumble and tone of the saw (see movie)

    4) It seems to have plenty of power and pull with the 20" bar and still remain balanced in the hand. I'm really impressed with it, didn't know what to expect really. I just know what I've seen off this site with Dolmar/Makita, just never had a chance to run one before but loved the shape of it.

    665 Solo with the 20" Sugi-Hara Bar...

One of you guys try to get a close up picture of the sticker showing serial number so we can try to date the saw.

There is still one lurking around my shop, if anyone is interested.

Sounds like a Zundapp to me. Long stroke, small bore German MX bike.

Be careful what you use to get the goo off the plastic! I use 3M general purpose adhesive remover. Get it at an auto paint/body supply store, it is designed to get the goo off without etching the plastic.

UPS says the saws I sent to Randy will be delivered today, so perhaps he will find time to say something about them.

Perhaps Dewey will find time to chime in also, he is the only one who has remained mum!

Don't know what mix you boys use but I find that 32:1 makes for the best longevity in daily-use saws.

Yes, Sir. Since I started running modified saws. I only make one solution, to keep confusion down....that 32:1...

One left is very tempting. Saw or AR upper is my choice right now. What to do what to do:startled:

AR top ends do not come along all the time, not good ones at a good price, tough choice. However I have it on very good authority (Solo Inc.) that these are the last factory new units in the country. Still might be one on some dealer's shelf but they don't know of any.

Uh oh Dex, that Sugi looks great on Chvymn99's! And his even cuts wood!

I have an aversion to the 60cc class, but man these things are nice and an incredible deal. Let's see some more chips fly.
