Been cold and snowing off and on the last few days. Woke up at 3:30 this morning and made a Douglass Fir and Silver Maple fire in the stove for momma, before heading to work. Got 3.5 inches of snow last night.

Up to 52* this morning suppose to stay warm all day a few intermittent showers, then a chance of light snow tomorrow morning. Will be loading the OWB with some more SS wood later today.

Burning down some coals then more red maple to do its thing.

13 this morning and it looks like about 5" of snow waiting to be relocated out there on the deck, driveway and sidewalks.

12F and 68F. Just pulled up the coals in a pile and placed a single split on top to melt them down. May possibly be our chilliest am of the season. Still nice inside!

Is sort of raining slush here...soft maple and ash getting inside toasty.

Here in the Poconos we are due to get our first decent snowfall starting tomorrow night. 13-15 inches predicted. The kids cant wait!

Freezing rain in my Wednesday forecast. Freezing rain and 100yr old Willow Oaks don’t play well together. Looks like most of the eastern seaboard is in for a winter blast.

Regardless of the snowfall totals, it looks like some *real* winter temperatures will be sweeping in for sure. I'm on board with that :)

Got an appointment pumping concrete Wednesday morning. 10* ambient temp will make it interesting.

25* out 70* in...its supposed to be pretty nice with a high in the upper 30s today before snowmageddon comes tomorrow. Everyone is in a panic around here. I wish we could go back to the days when the weatherman just gave you the weather without all of the hype. Maybe we will get a big storm, who knows...

Oak and red maple in the nc30.

16F and 72F. Stove is digesting last nights load nicely yet. Good MNF game last night. I actually stayed up past halftime. Watched to the end! Amazing how I've taken to watching ball games this year:)
Sounds like it's time to drag in a few days worth of wood and batten down the hatch's out east. Dial up those stove's and enjoy! Looks like some real winter heading that way.
