That's a nice pile of BTUs. Always great to have good helpers, age and gender don't matter as long as they produce!

Went back out to this score today. Took the granddaughter and a trailer. Someone else has been there, the pile was smaller & had recently been bunched up with a tractor or skid steer.
We got the pickup & trailer loaded. I don’t think I’ll be going back to the pile. Mostly really big stuff, punky, and gnarly crotchety pieces left. And pretty dirty from machine handling. There’s more dead and down on the property that should be a better score. I reread this whole thread before I updated it tonight.
About a month ago I upgraded pickups, sold the ‘01 f250 super cab to the boss and got a ‘02 f250 crew cab with a 7.3 power stroke. But it is a little nicer than I care to use for firewood right now. Also got a bigger saw since I was out there last time. Husqvarna 181se, used it today to noodle some of the bigger rounds so we could load em

Bet the 181 made short work of them? Is that jtstromsburg's trailer?

That wood doesn't look like our hackberry. Ours has smooth bark with areas with tons or warts on it. I like hackberry, it can split real good. We have a bazillion hackberry trees here.

No, belongs to the place I work. I think jtstromsburg is smaller, Nissan maybe.
The 181 is fun to run

Nice wood pile to stumble on! Having missed the original posting, I'm left wondering how the 346 worked out for you?

I really like the 346!! It did probably 75% of the cutting today. 562 made the bigger rounds, and the 181 noodled them. Having several saws is fun.

YES IT IS! :saw:I ran the 361 (59cc) yesterday on the silver maple. Noodled a bunch of pieces with it too.

It definitely is! I'm to the point when I get to a honey hole, I have 2-3 saws and use one up till the chain gets blunt and just switch saws to finish up a load. Bring 'em home and swap chains, rinse/repeat. I have a huge chain hoard so I save the sharpening for a bad weather day.

No, you can’t have those trees, but I have a nice pile of logs over here you are welcome to! Congrats! Looks like you’ll be busy for a while:eek:
